Westward again . 2/1

On the last day of January we were scheduled to check out with the guarda. He said he said checking out at 7 am was no problem?... He got to the island on the first ferry more like 9am. Once we signed out we had to put the dinghy on deck and pull up the anchors. We had put out 2 anchors but it wasn't really needed.
With the late start the captain had planned to pull into a bay around the corner and wait until late afternoon to depart and sail through the night and arrive pre sunrise to our next pass through the reef? Anyway it was a hot humid calm morning and we were sweating excessively as we put the dinghy on deck. Once we set out the breeze picked up and it rained as we entered the other bay and anchored. As the hours passed it had gotten completely cloudy with strong winds from the NW. Suddenly at 4:30 pm captain says let's go...? I pull up the anchor and off we go into a headwind and heavy rain? Common sense prevailed and after about a half hour with some frustration cursing on the part of captain, we headed back to re-anchor for the night.
Next morning was lovely with a light SE wind. We set out about 7 am just before sunrise. We only put out the head sail a small amount of time motoring the whole way.
We had some conflicting locations of the green buoy marking the pass through the reef. It was a bit stressful but it all worked out and we were anchored by 4:30pm.

Heading out before sunrise. The sunrise....

Selfie ... At anchor of another cayo.

It appears to be some kind of conifer on the island and once anchored there were tiny black bugs sort of like black flies but not quite...and they didn't bite. Sunset
