Forbidden Island . 1/13

Our overnight crossing was uneventful once past the Rudder issue. A mostly cloudy day threatening rain cleared to partly cloudy with an almost full moon. Shortly after sunrise we again had to motor sail getting hit with a bit of light rain. The final 12 NM was directly into a south wind so we furled the sails and motored the rest of the way to the 'forbidden island'
As we entered the harbor channel we received a warm "welcome American's" with thumbs up and "thank you's!"
The check in process was simple and we cleared in about 3 hours as we waited to be boarded by various officials. The Canadian brothers arrived just before we were cleared. Most of the other boaters there came to meet the new arrivals and we were told we could wait to move our boats to our assigned berths in the morning. The 4 of us had dinner at the marina restaurant and enjoyed a good nights sleep.
It's so nice to finally be out of Florida!

Approaching the harbor entrance. Shortly after clearing quarantine.

The Canadians boat. Both boats the next morning.
