Wooden Tall Ship Project
After leaving San Francisco and crossing over to Sausalito, we decided to dock at Schoonmaker Point Marina. We brought the dinghy outboard to a repair place and walked to West Marine. On the way there we noticed this wooden tall ship building project and talked to one guy involved with it who does wood working repair of pianos and builds guitars. We are hoping on Monday we can have a better look when things are happening and it's not all shut down. It's going to be about 136' overall and the main mast will be all square rigged. It's made of Douglas Fir mostly which was donated by The Nature Conservancy....
