Repairs and fueling up
Walter spent the day going to buy new mounting bolts and then removing the broken ones and reconnecting the shaft and transmission. He also removed some stuffing from the stuffing box just incase it had been packed too tight. Aligning the engine with driveshaft was done last time after the broken engine mount was replaced and it still looks good. I guess we will see if all is well now as we continue after one more night at this marina.
While Walter was busy with greasy repairs, Candace and I topped up the 500 gallon fuel tank with about 150 gallons. This marina does not have fuel out on the dock so we used 3 five gallon jugs and a dock cart taking 10 trips of 15 gallons each time. It took about 3 hours I think including breaks when staff here were fueling other boats.
