Repairs completed : )
As Walter continued with repairs, Candace and I took the dingy to one of 3 city docks and walked about 2.5 miles to get a few food items. Then we filled a 6 gallon gas can at the expensive marina fuel dock as no gas stations were near the city park docks.
By the time we got back to the boat, Walter had completed his realigning of the engine and transmission with the driveshaft and had run some tests. We are again good to go and will continue to the Fort Lauderdale area in the morning. Although it looks like we may have to wait until Tuesday for the Gulf Stream crossing.
Walter cutting some 1/4" brass shims.
Foot boards reinstalled over the area of the repaired driveshaft transmission connection... minus a 3rd board that broke during removal.
